On Friday, about forty Wahluke School District staff members received a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination administered by the Columbia Basin Health Association Wahluke Clinic. The staff members were picked because the job duties require a higher risk of coming into contact with confirmed or suspected COVID patients. The group included school nurses, staff whose duties involve care to staff and students in the COVID Health/Sick Rooms, door screeners, and staff where COVID patients could be present and where masking is not an option. These are the first COVID vaccinations in the district. We want to thank the CBHA Wahluke Clinic for the support and care of our staff.
