Hello February! We hope you all had a great first day of the month! During February we will be celebrating Black History Month, an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in history. National School Counselor Week, is from February 1-5, to focus on the unique contribution of school counselors within school systems. and Career and Technical Education Month, celebrates the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country. 🔻🔺🔻🔺 ¡Hola febrero! ¡Esperamos que hayan tenido un gran primer día del mes! Durante febrero celebraremos el Mes de la Historia Afroamericana, una celebración anual de los logros de los afroamericanos y un momento para reconocer su papel central en la historia. La Semana Nacional del Consejero Escolar, es del 1 al 5 de febrero, para enfocarse en la contribución única de los consejeros escolares dentro de los sistemas escolares. y el Mes de la Educación Técnica y Profesional, celebra el valor de CTE y los logros y logros de los programas CTE en todo el país.

All Pre-K through 12 grade on-campus classes for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 27th, have been cancelled due to the potential for inclement weather. However, all classes will be transitioned to a remote (distance) learning model for the day. On February 9, 2021, Wahluke School District will present to the voters a Capital Improvements and Safety Levy proposition on the ballot. The levy will focus on school safety, modernization, and replacement of failing structures and equipment. Good Afternoon, Warriors! Tomorrow from 11 am to 4 pm we will have free meals for kids at the Mattawa Elementary Cafeteria! If your child starts school this week, we will send them home with cold meals for reheating at home. If your kids are still learning at home and are not yet attending school on-site, please drop by and pick up our BBQ Sandwich, Cinna-Minis, and Popcorn Chicken, along with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, including kiwi fruit and radishes! Thank you for supporting our meal distribution program! We will have Fajita Bowls, Pozole, and French Toast, along with plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. If your younger kids start the Hybrid schedule this week, we will send cold meals home with them after school. You can still pick up 5-Day Meal Bags for kids who haven't yet started their Hybrid schedule. We hope to see you this Monday during our meal distribution at Mattawa Elementary! WSD and Wahluke Migrant Education Program will have a drive-thru event on DECEMBER 17 from 11 AM - 4 PM to distribute daily health attestation packets for all WSD students and if you're part of the Migrant Education Program you will also receive a Migrant PAC bag.
